I am a researcher at the research department of the Inter-American Development Bank in DC. My research studies how frictions in financial and labor markets interact with economic networks and institutions in developing countries. In particular, I study how these interactions affect the efficiency of anti-poverty programs, offset failures in program implementation, and lead to unintended effects of policy efforts to alleviate poverty.
